J U D G M E N T
The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the respondent to consider Exts.P1 & P2 applications submitted by the petitioner for issue of temporary and regular permits.

The petitioner, who is a stage carriage operator, submitted Ext.P1 application for grant of temporary permit to conduct service on the route between Neendapara and Aluva, to conduct substitute service in the defaulted vacancy of stage carriage bearing Reg.No.KL-40/6100. When Ext.P1 was submitted on 18.06.2015, the petitioner was informed that the regular permit in respect of the aforesaid vehicle has already expired and the permit holder of the said vehicle has not filed any application for renewal. Accordingly, he submitted Ext.P2 application for regular permit on the above route on 19.06.2015. The petitioner points out that Ext.P2 application is to be considered by the

RTA, Muvattupuzha. He alleges that no regular meeting of the RTA is likely to be scheduled any time soon. He further points out that this cannot preclude the respondent from issuing temporary permit on Ext.P1. The petitioner approached this Court for a direction to the respondent to consider Exts.P1 & P2 applications within a time frame. 3.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.
Considering the nature of the relief sought for, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Exts.P1 & P2 applications, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
