J U D G M E N T

The petitioners are seeking a direction to the respondent to consider Ext.P5 request within a time frame.

The petitioners, who are stage carriage operators operating on identical routes, are conducting service by a common management. They preferred Ext.P5 request to alter one time slot, i.e., departure time from Thrissur. According to them, this mutual change is required as one service has got more than enough of time gap whereas the other has got a lesser time gap. They have approached this Court for a direction to the respondent to consider Ext.P5 request.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader in the matter. Considering the nature of the prayer, the writ

W.P.(C) No. 22542 of 2015 ..2..

petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P5 application submitted by the petitioners within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment after affording both the petitioners an opportunity of being heard.

To facilitate an early action, the petitioners shall be at liberty to produce a copy of this judgment as well as a copy of this writ petition before the respondent at the earliest.
