J U D G M E N T

Seeking a direction to the respondent to consider Ext.P1 application for regular permit submitted by the petitioner in the next RTA meeting, the petitioner has come up before this Court.

The petitioner alleges that in the stage carriage route between Adoor Central and Kayamkulam, there are no service presently and there were hue and cry from the public for introduction of a service as the students and others are suffering for want of service. The petitioner is a heavy vehicle driver with authorization to drive stage carriage vehicles and he has availed huge loans for purchasing a vehicle for self employment and to feed his family. Therefore, he applied for regular permit along with proposed timings as per Ext.P1. The petitioner alleges that the RTA is adjourning all regular permit

matters unnecessarily. According to the petitioner, Ext.P1 application requires urgent consideration. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court for a final disposal of Ext.P1 application for the grant of a regular permit. 3.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

The learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the next meeting is scheduled to be held on 31.08.2015 Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's application for regular permit in the meeting scheduled to be held on 31.08.2015 and pass orders on that day itself without fail.
