J U D G M E N T

Seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners' applications for regular permit in the next RTA meeting, the petitioners have come up before this Court.

The petitioners submitted applications for grant of regular permits on the routes, North Parur - Vyttila Hub and Kunjithai - Vyttila Hub. According to the petitioners, as the said routes falls within the jurisdiction of the respondents, no concurrence or countersignature is required from any authority. They allege that the proposed route passes through ill served area, where there is no sufficient service to cater the requirements of the travelling public. Exts.P1 & P2 applications are to be considered by the respondents. The petitioners' grievance is that the applications have not been considered so far.

Hence, this writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned senior Government Pleader.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the RTA meeting scheduled to be held on 06.08.2014 stands adjourned to 17.08.2015.

Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of directing the RTA to consider Exts.P1 & P2 applications for regular permits in the meeting scheduled to be held on 17.08.2015 and pass orders on that day itself without fail. Sd/- A.V. RAMAKRISHNA PILLAI JUDGE bka/-
