2.
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her family members and also to conduct petitioner's marriage on 19/8/2015 against the illegal interference and threat of the 3rd respondent and his men. Petitioner's case is that although the 3rd respondent was known to her and were good friends, it is submitted that petitioner's marriage is now settled and to be performed on 19/08/2015. A complaint was sent by the petitioner as Ext.P3 to the Circle Inspector of Police.
3.
The learned Government Pleader, after obtaining instructions, submits that after receiving the complaint, both the petitioner and the 3rd respondent were called and on their
insistence, crime was not registered. 3rd respondent, however, informed the police that no interference will be caused by him. 4.
In view of the above, we are of the view that if there is any interference at the instance of the 3rd respondent, it shall be open for the petitioner to file a complaint and the police authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law. With the above observation, this writ petition is closed. (sd/-) (ASHOK BHUSHAN, CHIEF JUSTICE) (sd/-) (A.M.SHAFFIQUE, JUDGE) jsr
