J U D G M E N T
Ashok Bhushan, CJ Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader. No notice is being issued to the 6th respondent in view of the judgment being passed today. 2.
Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking police protection and for a further direction to respondents 1 and 4 to take action pursuant to Exts.P6 and P7. Petitioner's case in the writ petition is that she was friendly with the 6th respondent who had submitted a proposal for marriage. On the advice of the petitioner's parents, 6th respondent has turned down the proposal, which infuriated the 6th respondent and now, by different means, he is threatening the petitioner.

The learned Government Pleader, after obtaining instructions submits that, on a complaint received from the petitioner, crime has already been registered and investigation is in progress. It is submitted that police shall take appropriate
action, in accordance with law.
In view of the fact that crime has already been registered which is under investigation, no further directions are needed in this case. We only observe that if any offence is committed or there is any attempt to commit offence on the part of the 6th respondent, it is always open for the petitioner to file necessary complaint before the police who shall look into the matter and take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
