JUDGMENT
The petitioner is seeking a direction to the respondent university to publish the result of the revaluation of his papers of M.Sc. (Chemistry- 2012-2014) in the second semester examination.
2.
The petitioner completed M.Sc. (Chemistry) course during the academic year 2012-2014 from Devamatha College, Kuravilangad, which is affiliated to the first respondent university. The petitioner alleges that he is aggrieved by the non-consideration of his application for revaluation of second semester examination of M.Sc. (Chemistry) subject namely "Chemical Bonding and Computational Chemistry". The fourth respondent conducted the second semester examination of M.Sc. (Chemistry) course during the month of August, 2014. The petitioner further alleges that except the said paper, petitioner passed in all other papers. However, for "Chemical
-2Bonding and Computational Chemistry", the third paper in the second semester, he was awarded less than the pass marks only. The petitioner has scored 57% marks in first semester, 53.25 marks in the third semester and 70% marks in the fourth semester. Since there is no chance for any failure in the said subject, the petitioner filed application before the fourth respondent, for scrutiny and revaluation. Any delay in publishing the revaluation result would cause irreparable loss, injury and hardships to the petitioner and unless this Court directs, respondents would not publish the revaluation result within the statutory time; it is alleged. It is with this background, the petitioner has come up before this court. 3.
I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondent university in the matter.
4.
Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned standing counsel for the respondent university on instructions would submit that the scrutiny and revaluation has
-3been completed and the result would be published by the first week of October, 2015.
Recording the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to adhere to the above time schedule and to publish the result of the petitioner within the aforesaid time without fail.
