JUDGMENT
The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the respondent University to expedite the revaluation of the petitioner's answer sheets in B.Sc. Mathematics examination of the year 2015 under the respondent university. 2.
The petitioner joined in B.Sc. Mathematics course in Sree Vidyahiraja N.S.S. College Vazhoor in the year 2012. The course is of three year duration with six semesters. The petitioner alleges that he completed the course in April 2015. The petitioner had passed with high marks in all examinations conducted by the university till the fifth semester examination. The result of the sixth semester examination was published in May 2015. The petitioner failed in one paper MT06BAA01 (Real Analysis) of the sixth semester. The petitioner believes that there might be some error in the valuation and expects that he would get more marks to come out successful in the
-2examination if the paper is properly reevaluated. Therefore, he applied for revaluation of the paper in the failed subject. Since there is delay in declaring the revaluation results, the petitioner is not able to pursue for his higher education. Further, the petitioner is not in a position to attend the campus interview and placement calls; it is alleged. 3.
I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent University in the matter.
4.
Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent University on instructions submitted that the last date of receipt of application for revaluation by the concerned centres was 2.7.2015 and the result would be published by 2.9.2015 Recording the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent university to adhere to the above time schedule and to publish the result of the petitioner within the aforesaid time without fail. As the
-3petitioner has to join for higher studies and the last date of application of which is 28.8.2015, it shall be open to the petitioner to apply for confidential mark sheet immediately after the tabulation is over and in the event of making such application, the same shall be honoured by the respondent university without fail.
