JUDGMENT
The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondent to publish the revaluation result at the earliest.
2.
The petitioner was B.Tech Student under the first respondent university. He completed the course and secured good marks in all the subjects except one, for which the petitioner had written the supplementary examinations along with the regular batch in April 2015. The petitioner alleges that he joined for higher studies and production of mark list of supplementary examination is necessary. The petitioner appeared on 8.5.2015 for paper 101 Engineering Mathematics for the supplementary examination. The petitioner further alleges that respondent university is slow in publishing the results of supplementary examinations and they are intending to publish the same along with the regular examination results for their convenience, which is against the interest of justice.
W.P.(C) No. 23730 of 2015 -2The fee prescribed for the supplementary examination is higher when compared to the regular exam fee. The university is bound to publish the result of supplementary examination on an early date at least in case of course completed/passed out students; otherwise it would affect their career prospects. The inaction on the part of university would be detrimental to the carrier of the petitioner. So far the respondent university has not framed any guidelines for the publication of result of supplementary examinations.
3.
Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned standing counsel for the respondent university submitted that the revaluation process is going on and the respondent university may be able to declare the result by the end of September, 2015.
Recording the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to adhere to the above time schedule and to publish the result of the petitioner within the aforesaid time without fail.
