J U D G M E N T

Petitioner has executed certain work on behalf of Periyar Valley Irrigation Project. The petitioner completed and submitted his bills. He approached this Court to release the amounts covered in the bills. It appears that the petitioner has submitted his bills in the years 2013 and 2014.

2. It is submitted by the learned Government Pleader, on instructions, that the second respondent approached the Government for necessary sanction for the additional work executed by the petitioner and the second respondent is awaiting the decision of the Government.

3. This Court is of the view that the first respondent shall take decision in the matter within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. It it is approved, the amount shall be released

to the petitioner within a further period of two months, if the seniority is not applicable. If seniority is applicable, it shall be released to the petitioner based on seniority.
