J U D G M E N T

Ashok Bhushan, CJ Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader. No notice is being issued to respondents 3 and 4 in view of the judgment being passed today. 2.

Petitioner, by this writ petition, has sought for a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to grant sufficient and effective police protection. Petitioner's case in the writ petition is that respondents 3 and 4 are petitioner's neighbour and they are trying to snatch the property of the petitioner so as to annex it with their property. A complaint, Ext.P1 has been filed regarding an incident dated 19/05/2015.

The learned Government Pleader, after obtaining instructions, submits that the property adjoining to the petitioner's property belonging to his brother was sold to respondents 3 and 4. It is submitted that thereafter, several complaints have been filed. After receiving Ext.P1, petitioner was

called to appear at the police station and give his statement, but so far he has not appeared. It is submitted that all complaints are being sent by registered post and the petitioner has never appeared to substantiate his allegations.

In the above view of the matter, we see no reason to issue any direction, as prayed for. It is observed that if the petitioner approaches the police with any complaint, the same shall be looked into by the 2nd respondent and appropriate action shall be taken, in accordance with law.
