JUDGMENT

The petitioner, who is working as Santhi at Kurissukode temple, is aggrieved by Ext.P1 order of transfer, transferring the petitioner as Melsanthi of Thiruvarattukavu temple. Aggrieved by the order of transfer, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the 2nd respondent, which was rejected. The petitioner, therefore, preferred Ext.P4 appeal before the 1st respondent, which is stated to be pending. Under the said circumstances, the limited prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P4 appeal, expeditiously after hearing the petitioner.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as also the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. On a consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case as also the submissions made across the bar, I dispose the writ petition with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P4 appeal, after hearing the petitioner, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. I make it clear that, till such time as orders are passed
