J U D G M E N T
The petitioners are employees of three Special Grade Devaswoms of the 3rd respondent. The case of the petitioners in the writ petition is for a parity in treatment of its employees with those of six Special Grade Devaswoms, that have been granted the benefit of pay revision and fixation at par with Government servants vide Ext.P1 Government letter dated 25.7.2012, read with the Government Order dated 26.2.2011. In the writ petition, the petitioners place reliance on Ext.P4 judgment of this Court, where the employees of Sree Madanandhaswara Vinayaka Temple, Madhur at Kasargod were also extended the same benefit by a judgment of this Court, stating that there was no justification for not extending the relief to the said employees in the light of Ext.P1 Government letter dated 25.7.2012. Inasmuch as the petitioners in the instant case are also similarly situated as the petitioners in Ext.P4 judgment, which judgment has since been affirmed by the Division Bench by judgment dated 30.7.2015 in W.A.No.1524/2015, I am of the view that the benefit of
W.P.(C).No.24492/2015 pay revision as contemplated in Ext.P1 Government letter read with the Government order dated 26.2.2011, can be extended to the petitioners also. Accordingly, I direct that the said Government Order and the Government letter shall be implemented in Alathiyoor Perumthrikkovil Devaswom, Zamorin Raja Central Devaswom and Thali Devaswom respectively, under the 3rd respondent, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed as above.
