~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ A further investigation has been ordered in the matter and a further investigation is going on. This is a case wherein a huge quantity of gold, silver, etc. were stolen from a jewellery by committing house breaking by night. It seems that only 7 culprits among the 21 persons could be nabbed by the police, that too, from different parts of the country. Only a small quantity of gold and silver could be recovered. The other accused are at large and they are absconding. 2.
It seems that the police have made an earnest effort in the matter in conducting the investigation. Presently, from the reports and on hearing either side, this Court does not think it feasible and just to hand over the investigation to any other agency. Let the further investigation continue.
W.P.(C).25006/2014 : 2 :
3. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thiruvalla shall monitor the further investigation being carried out by the special investigation team constituted for the purpose under the leadership of the Circle Inspector of Police. Such investigation shall be completed and further final report shall be filed, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court or any other forum again in case they are aggrieved. With the said observations, this writ petition is closed.
