JUDGMENT

The petitioner herein is the sole accused in Crime No.1583 of 2013 of Medical College Police Station, Thiruvananthapuram, registered under Sections 306 and 498A IPC, and under Section 23 of the Juvenile Justice Act. He seeks a writ of mandamus, or other direction for effective and speedy investigation in the crime. The report shows that substantial part of the investigation is over. If so, the final report can very well be filed within three months. The report submitted by the Assistant Commissioner of Police is recorded, and this Writ Petition is disposed of, with direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police to expedite investigation, and make earnest efforts to submit final report within three months.
