JUDGMENT

The petitioner, who is a consumer of Kerala State Electricity Board under the Electric Section, Koonamoochy, Thrissur with consumer Nos.4975/VIA and 1618/VIB, has approached this Court in this writ petition feeling aggrieved by Exts.P1 and P1(a) demands made by the 2nd respondent towards short assessment. Against the demands made in Exts.P1 and P1(a), the petitioner submitted Ext.P2 objection before the Assistant Executive Engineer concerned, the 2nd respondent herein. The only relief sought for in this writ petition is a writ of mandamus commanding the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2 objection within a time frame.

2. By order dated 15.11.2013, this Court granted an interim order not to disconnect electric connection, which order was thereafter extended until further orders on 03.01.2014.

3. No counter affidavit is filed on behalf of the 1st respondent Board.

W.P.(C) No.27594/2013 In such circumstances, considering the fact that the only relief sought for in the writ petition is for a disposal of Ext.P2 objection, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2 objection filed by the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment, with notice to the petitioner. Till such time, the interim order shall continue to be in force.
