J U D G M E N T
Shaffique, J Petitioner has approached this Court seeking police protection. It is inter alia contended that respondents 7 to 14 had brutally attacked the petitioner on 26/10/2013 when she objected consumption of alcohol by them. Thereafter, she was hospitalised and she was further being threatened with loss of life. At this stage, this writ petition has been filed.

An interim order has been granted by this court on 18/11/2013 directing the police to ensure maintenance of law and order and to see that no untoward incident happens as far as the petitioner is concerned. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that thereafter no untoward incident has been reported. However, no further proceedings have been initiated pursuant to Crime No.1832/2013.

Be that as it may, since an interim order has been pending for the last two years, there is no necessity to continue
W.P.C.No.28190/2013 with the above writ petition. If there is any further threat respondents 7 to 14, it shall be open for the petitioner to approach the police, who shall look into the matter and do the needful, in accordance with law.
