J U D G M E N T

The petitioners are regular permit holders on the route. They seek temporary extension of their regular permits. Exts.P1 to P4 applications put in by the petitioners are pending.

2. The petitioners rely on Balakrishna Travels v. RTO, Malappuram [1982 KLT 752] in support of their plea. The Government Pleader submits that the petitioners have to apply for variation of the regular permits instead of temporary extension of the regular permits. These are natters to be considered by the respondent before whom Exts.P1 to P4 applications are pending.

3. I direct the respondent to consider Exts.P1 to P4 applications with notice to the petitioners. The needful shall be done within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The Writ Petition is disposed of.
