JUDGMENT
The Government Law College, Kozhikode seeks permission to participate in the A zone Cricket - Foot ball Fest. The writ petition is filed on the premise that there was no prior intimation about the date and venue of the fixture meet. The University of Calicut seriously refutes the plea of the petitioner. The petitioner is the Union General Captain of the Government Law College, Kozhikode.

The University maintains that Annexure R1(a) email was sent to all colleges affiliated to it. None of the colleges other than the Government Law College, Kozhikode has complained. The University points out that the fixture for the tournaments has already been finalised. It is not possible to include the petitioner and alter the fixture at the eleventh hour. 3.
It is reported that about 50 foot ball teams and 42 cricket teams are slated to participate. These teams have already been included in the fixture of tournaments. It is
WP(C) No. 25810/2015 unlikely that all the teams would turn up for the tournaments as scheduled in the fixture. The Government Law College, Kozhikode shall be included in the tournaments if any of the teams absent themselves.

Such a course would facilitate the smooth culmination of the tournament without altering the fixtures. The Sports Affiliation fee shall be duly remitted by the petitioner within a period of one week from today (if not already done). The absence of any team in the fixture shall be informed to the Principal of the Government Law College, Kozhikode in advance. The Writ Petition is disposed of.
