JUDGMENT
The petitioner is stated to be a cultivating tenant in possession and enjoyment of 0.0091 hectares of land comprised in R.S.221/2-Part of Pallikkal Village and 0.1487 hectares of land comprised in R.S.No.221/2-Part of the same village. He has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the 1st respondent to expedite and complete the suo moto proceedings in S.M. No.1740/2015 as expeditiously as possible, within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.
2. I heard the arguments of the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. Considering the fact that the suo moto proceedings in S.M.No.1740/2015 is pending consideration before the 1st respondent, I deem it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.
W.P.(C) No.25884 of 2015 In such circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to complete suo moto proceedings in S.M.No.1740/2015 as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment.
It is made clear that this Court has not expressed anything on the merits of the suo moto proceedings pending before the 1st respondent and it is for the said respondent to take appropriate decision strictly in accordance with law. SD/- ANIL K. NARENDRAN, JV JUDGE
