JUDGMENT
Shaffique, J.
The petitioners have approached this Court seeking police protection. It is stated that the petitioners were having some business dealings with respondents 5 to 7 in Saudi Arabia. The 6th respondent was arrested by the State Police on charges of holding fake passport. On the premise that the petitioners have leaked the information to the police, respondents 6 and 7 had vengeance against the petitioners and threatened them with loss of life. Complaining about the aforesaid facts and the threat caused by respondents 5 to 7, petitioners have approached the Police seeking appropriate protection and since no action has been taken in the matter, this writ petition has been filed.
2. Learned Senior Government Pleader after obtaining instructions in the matter submits that on the basis of Exts.P1 and P,2 necessary enquiries have been conducted by
WP(C) No. 26205 of 2015 -:2:- the Police and parties have been summoned and warned not to create any untoward incident. The enquiry by Police also does not reveal any severe threat as alleged by the petitioners.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioners however would submit that they are still under threat of loss of life and therefore, if at all any action is taken by respondents 5 to 7, police should render necessary protection.
Having regard to the aforesaid, we dispose of the writ petition permitting the petitioners to file appropriate complaint, if any offence is committed or there is attempt to commit any offence, which shall be looked into by the Police in accordance with law.
