JUDGMENT

The petitioner is a member of National Rifle Shooters Association and he is having one 22 riffle and two SBBL guns with valid Arms licence bearing No.2080/KDE. When the petitioner applied for application for renewal of the above licence, the 2nd respondent dismissed the application by Ext.P2 order and rejected the re-instatement of licence on the ground that the police authorities has not recommended the same as there was no threat to the petitioner's life or property. Aggrieved by Ext.P2 order, petitioner preferred Ext.P3 appeal before the 1st respondent, but the proceedings are still to be finalised and hence the writ petition.

2.Heard the learned Government Pleader as well. 3.After hearing both sides, this Court is of the view that the matter has to be taken to a logical conclusion by passing appropriate orders in Ext.P3 appeal preferred by the petitioner. Accordingly there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to

W.P.(C) No.26316 of 2015 (L) consider Ext.P3 appeal, with notice to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The writ petition is disposed of as above.
