JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached this Court, alleging denial of drinking water to him by the respondent Water Authority because of the intervention of some local residents. This Court by the interim order dated 4.12.2013 directed the respondents that the water connection sought for to the concerned Villas should be provided by the Water Authority, strictly in accordance with the relevant provisions of law and if there is any threat to the law and order situation, it would be open to the 1st respondent to take appropriate remedial measures in accordance with the relevant provisions of law.

Today, when the matter came up for hearing, it is submitted by both sides that on the basis of the interim direction of this Court, the water connection has been given to the petitioner. As there is no surviving cause of action, the writ petition is closed by making the interim order absolute.
