J U D G M E N T

The petitioner, aggrieved by the delay in the matter of renewal of Arms licence, has approached this court.

2. This matter is pending before the 2nd respondentDistrict Collector, Thrissur, which was remitted to the 2nd respondent based on a remand order passed by the Land Revenue Commissioner. It appears that the District Collector sought the views of Forest officials. The petitioner submits that favourable orders have now been issued by the Forest officials. In the light of the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondentDistrict Collector to conclude the proceedings based on Ext.P2 within a period of 2 months of receipt of copy of this judgment, after giving notice to the petitioner.
