JUDGMENT

The petitioner's daughter passed Central Board of Secondary Education. The petitioner's daughter was issued with certificate. The petitioner submits that in the daughter's certificate, father's name was wrongly shown.

The petitioner points out that her late husband C.V.Prasad, the father of her daughter, namely, Ashwini Prasad was shown as Ashok Kumar by mistake. In fact, Ashok Kumar was the step father of Ashwini Prasad. Therefore, it is necessary to correct the name of the father of her daughter.

In view of the above, this Court is of the view that the petitioner shall approach the second respondent. The second respondent, thereafter, shall correct the school details and forward the same to the first respondent. Needful shall be done by the second respondent within three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Thereafter, it shall be considered by the first respondent within three months from the date of receipt of corrected records from the second respondent. The writ petition is disposed of as above.
