JUDGMENT

P.N.Ravindran, J.

The main relief sought in the instant writ petition filed by a serving employee of Sreekrishna Temple, Guruvayoor is to set aside Ext.P1 Government order whereby respondents 4 to 7 were nominated to the Managing Committee of Guruvayoor Devaswom and to remove them from office forthwith. The petitioner has also prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the State of Kerala to make nominations to the Managing Committee of Guruvayoor Devaswom only in accordance with the Guruvayoor Devaswom Act, 1978 and the principles laid down by a Division Bench of this court in Gopalakrishnan Nair v. State of Kerala [1992 (2) KLJ 724], the judgment in O.P.No.2071 of 1993 and Ext.P10 interim order in O.P.No.27853 of 1999.

Ext.P1 Government order is dated 15.11.2013. It discloses that the Guruvayoor Devaswom Managing Committee was reconstituted by nominating respondents 4 to 7. As per the provisions contained in the Guruvayoor Devaswom Act, 1978, the term of the committee is two

W.P.(C)No.30536 of 2013 -:2:- years. The said period of two years has come to an end. In such circumstances, we are of the opinion that the reliefs prayed for in the instant writ petition have become infructuous. It is accordingly closed as infructuous.
