JUDGMENT
The petitioner's vehicle bearing registration No.KL-23-C-6546 has been seized alleging transportation of minor minerals without necessary permit. The petitioner submits that he is prepared to compound the offence.
In that view of the matter, the respondent is directed to produce the seizure mahazar before the Geologist of the competent jurisdiction within two days from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Thereafter, the Geologist shall permit the petitioner to compound the offence if the vehicle is involved only for an offence either under the Kerala Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 2005 or under the Kerala Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act, 2015 at the compounding fee fixed by him. Needful shall be done within a further period of two days.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
