J U D G M E N T

Shaffique, J Petitioner has approached this court seeking police protection. It is alleged that the petitioner has certain disputes with the party respondents in connection with the sale of property and a suit is pending before the Sub Court, Irinjalakuda for specific performance of an agreement for sale of property. While so, on 24.8.2012 the third respondent and his men illegally trespassed into the property and committed waste. When the illegal acts continued, the petitioner approached the police and thereafter a crime has been registered against the third respondent. Apprehending further assault, threat and loss of life this writ petition has been filed seeking police protection.

2. An interim order has already been passed by this court on 6.1.2014 and learned Government Pleader submits that after the interim order was passed, appropriate protection was given by the police and thereafter no untoward incident has been reported.

3. Having regard to the fact that interim order was passed as early as on 6.1.2014 and thereafter no untoward incident has been reported, we are of the view that further orders are not required to be passed in the case. We make it clear that if there is any threat from the party respondents, it shall be open for the petitioner to approach the police, who shall look into the matter.
