J U D G M E N T
The petitioner was before this Court claiming a distinctive rank in M.Sc "Information Technology and Computer Communication" course, she undertook under the respondent University in the academic years 2007-08 and 2008-09. The petitioner was declined the rank for reason that, she had obtained moderation in one of the papers. Now, it is submitted by the Counsel for the petitioner that, on revaluation, she had in fact obtained more marks and if that is considered, her claim could be allowed.
2. The learned Standing Counsel for the University submits that, there are certain formalities on that count, since, already persons have been ranked in accordance with their marks and the University would also have to sent communications to them, before the petitioner
W.P.(C) No.33622 of 2009 - W is ranked appropriately as per the marks obtained in revaluation. The petitioner will also have to surrender her mark list and seek for award of the distinctive rank. In such circumstance, the petitioner shall approach the University and comply with the formalities of the University within a period of two months from today and the University shall take appropriate action expeditiously.
The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
