The petitioner has filed this writ petition alleging harassment by police and inter alia seeking for a direction to take appropriate action based on Ext.P2 complaint.
2.
The petitioner submits that he was asked to appear before Maradu Police Station and it is alleged that Mr.Bipin, who was the Sub Inspector of Police at the relevant time and presently posted as Sub Inspector, Palluruthy Police Station, has harassed him and has abused him stating the names of his girl children, touching upon their character and modesty. Thereafter, he was manhandled. The petitioner filed complaints, Exts.P1 and P2, before the higher officials, but so far, no action has been taken in the matter and therefore, he has approached this Court. 3.
Having regard to the averments made in the writ petition as well as in Exts.P1 and P2 complaints, we are of the view that the remedy of the petitioner is to approach the Police Complaints Authority, which is a Cell created for taking action
W.P.(C) No.29388 of 2015 -: 2 :- against any officer of the police, if any illegal acts are committed by them. It is always open for the petitioner to approach the said authority. If any such complaint is filed by the petitioner, the said authority shall look into the matter and do the needful. This writ petition is closed with the above direction.
