JUDGMENT
The petitioner is a person who has acquired his graduate, post-graduate and M.B.A. Degree from one Kakatiya University, Warangal. The petitioner's grievance is only with respect to the refusal of the respondent-University to recognise the M.Com. degree of the said University. Exhibit P11 is the rejection order passed by the University, which is impugned in the above writ petition.
2. It is trite that this Court would not endeavour to compare the syllabus and equate the courses of different Universities. An academic body is entitled to look into its own syllabus for award of a particular degree/post-graduation and consider a degree or post-graduation granted in the same subject from another University; for equivalence. When the same is declined by a competent academic body as per the Regulations of the University, this Court would not interfere with such
WP(C).No.33815 of 2009 - 2 - decision, unless the same is found to be arbitrary or totally opposed to reason. There is no such ground raised in the writ petition. The issue insofar as no interference being caused in academic matters stands covered by the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Guru Nanak Dev University v. Sanjay Kumar Katwal [(2009) 1 SCC 610].
