JUDGMENT

Shaffique, J.

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking police protection, inter alia, contending that respondent Nos.7 and 8 are threatening the petitioner and his family members with loss of life and also threatening that they will be finished off. The petitioner is unable to live peacefully, and so he has filed Ext.P2 complaint before the Police. Since no action has been taken by the police in the matter, he has filed this writ petition.

2. The learned Government Pleader on instructions would submit that the petitioner and the 7th respondent have dealings between themselves in a matter relating to dismantling of vehicles and sale as scrap without permission from the competent authority. Both of them are involved in two crimes. They were arrested and later enlarged on bail. It is stated that no untoward incident has been stated by the petitioner in the complaint filed by him. The enquiry by the police also did not disclose any untoward incident other than threatening calls.

W.P.(C) No. 29610 of 2015 (A)

3. Having regard to the aforesaid factual situation, we do not think it necessary to issue any direction as sought for in the writ petition. We only observe that, if there is any offence committed or attempt to commit offence, on the complaint of the petitioner, the police shall look into the matter and keep a constant vigil on the activities of the petitioner as well as the 7th respondent. The writ petition is disposed of as above.
