JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached the Passport authorities for correction of his place of birth in the passport. According to the petitioner, the respondent is inclined to correct his place of birth in the passport, which led the petitioner to approach this Court.

2. A statement has been filed on the behalf of the respondent. In paragraph 8 of the statement it is stated as follows:

"8. In view of what is stated above in paragraphs 1 to 5, it is submitted that application for correction of place of birth of the petitioner will be considered on she approaching the office of the respondent with an order adjudicating her place of birth with all supporting documents in original for correcting place of birth in her passport and on remitting the penal fee as directed by the Passport Issuing Authority."

WP(C).29613/15 Therefore, this Court is of the view that the Passport authority shall take appropriate decision in the matter on being satisfied with the genuineness of the documents produced by the petitioner. The petitioner shall produce all the documents relating to the change of his place of birth before the Passport authority.

The Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
