JUDGMENT

The issue involved in this writ petition relates to selection of Assistant Grade-II conducted by the 1st respondent University. In this writ petition the petitioner is challenging Ext.P5 Rank List on the basis that it was prepared in violation of Rules 14 to 17 of Part II KS & SSR and also in violation of Ext.P8 Government Order.

2. It is submitted by learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent University that, appointments of candidates have already been made out of Ext.P5 Rank List and validity of Ext.P5 Rank List had already expired, long back.

3. Even though through an interim order dated 26/11/2009, this court had clarified that appointments if any made will be subject to further orders passed in this writ petition, the petitioner has not chosen to challenge

Considering the fact that the validity of the list stands expired, the issue agitated could not be considered at this point of time. Under the above mentioned circumstances, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
