JUDGMENT

The petitioner approached the Central Board of Secondary Education for correction of his father's name in the certificate issued to him. This has been rejected as per Exhibit P5 order stating that it is not in consonance with the school records.

2. This Court is of the view that the petitioner shall approach the second respondent for correction of his father's name in the school records. If the school records are corrected, the second respondent shall forward the same to the CBSE and the CBSE shall correct the petitioner's father's name in the certificate of the petitioner within three months from the date of receipt of communication from the school authorities. Needful shall be done by the school authorities within three weeks from the date of production of a copy of this judgment by the petitioner. In view of the above, Exhibit P5 is set aside. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
