JUDGMENT

Petitioner is working as Associate Professor/Reader and Course Co-ordinator of Mathematics in the 4th respondent School of Distance Education under the University of Kerala. This Writ Petition is filed on account of non consideration of petitioner for the post of Professor under Career Advancement as per UGC scheme 2010. 2.

Learned Standing Counsel for the University submits that petitioner, if makes self appraisal report as per the UGC Scheme, will be considered in accordance with her eligibility for the post of Professor in Mathematics under the Career Advancement Scheme. 3.

In view of the above fact, petitioner is directed to make self appraisal report within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Thereupon, University shall consider petitioner for promotion to the post of Professor under the Career Advancement Scheme at the earliest within a period of three months. It is made clear that there is no impediment for the University in considering the promotion of respondents 6 and 7 as Professors in accordance with their eligibility. The Writ Petition is disposed of.
