JUDGMENT

The petitioner seeks release of his vehicle KL 08/V 1593. 2.

The vehicle has been seized for more reasons than one. The violation of permit conditions is alleged. The offences under Indian Penal Code are also alleged.

The petitioner shall pay the compounding fee within two days. The vehicle shall thereupon be released to the petitioner. The driver of the vehicle can however be proceeded against. This is in respect of the offences under the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner as well as the driver shall present themselves before the Magistrate within one week. They shall thereafter abide by the condition imposed by the jurisdictional Magistrate. The respondents are entitled to act again on the default of the condition stipulated above.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
