J U D G M E N T
An application submitted by the petitioner seeking voluntary retirement was rejected, allegedly after a period of 3 years, on issuing a charge sheet alleging unauthorised absence. In the wake of rejection of application for VRS, the petitioner expressed willingness to rejoin duty. In this regard the petitioner had submitted Ext.P6 representation before the 2nd respondent. When the request was not considered, this writ petition is filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the he will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to consider Ext.P6 and to pass appropriate orders.

Heard; Standing counsel appearing for the respondents. This court is of the opinion that a direction to consider Ext.P6 would suffice to meet the ends of justice.

Hence this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to consider Ext.P6 and to take an appropriate decision, if the same is not already disposed of, if necessary after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, at the earliest possible, at any rate within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
