JUDGMENT

The short question is whether the applications put in by the petitioners for reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 are barred or not. The District Collector, Kottayam has directed the second respondent Tahsildar by Ext. P8 order to re-verify as to whether the applications for reference are barred or not.

I direct the second respondent to act in accordance with the directions in Ext. P8 order and verify whether the applications for reference put in by the petitioners are in time. The orders in this regard shall be passed after hearing the petitioners within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The writ petition is disposed of.
