JUDGMENT

The petitioner who was the President of the Committee in management of Wandoor Jam Iyaathul Mujahidhen, which is a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act with Ext.P1 Certificate of Registration, has approached this Court seeking a writ of certiorari to quash Ext.P12 and seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the 1st respondent to receive the list of office bearers of Wandoor Jam Iyaathul Mujahidhen, Wandoor, Malappuram District, submitted by the petitioner.

2. A reading of the writ petition would show that the term of office bearers of the governing body of the Society is for a period of three years. Therefore, the term of those office bearers in the list forwarded to the 1st respondent, which resulted in Ext.P12 order dated 04.12.2008, is already over. Thus, the challenge made in this writ petition against Ext.P12 order has become infructuous by lapse of time.

W.P.(C) No.36945/2008 In such circumstances, leaving open all the contentions raised by the petitioner against Ext.P12 order, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
