JUDGMENT

The petitioner, who is aggrieved by Ext.P4 bill issued to him in connection with the supply of electricity to his premises, has preferred Ext.P6 complaint before the Assistant Executive Engineer, Kerala State Electricity Board, Thrikkakara. The limited prayer of the petitioner in the writ petition is for a direction to the Assistant Engineer, KSEB, Thrikkakara, to consider and pass orders on the said complaint expeditiously and to keep in abeyance recovery steps for recovery of the amounts confirmed against the petitioner in Ext.P4 bill.

I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as also the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent .

On a consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made across the bar, I direct the Assistant Engineer, KSEB, Thrikkakara, to consider and pass orders on Ext.P6 complaint preferred by the petitioner, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after hearing the petitioner. I make it clear that, recovery steps for

No. 33376 of 2015 recovery of amounts confirmed against the petitioner by Ext.P4 bill, shall be kept in abeyance, till such time as orders are passed by the Assistant Engineer, as directed and communicated to the petitioner. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the writ petition, together a copy of this judgment, before the Assistant Engineer, KSEB, Thrikkakara, for further action.
