The writ petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus directing the police to initiate legal action including investigation on the Ext.P1 complaint made by him. Now there is a report by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau, Special Cell, Thiruvananthapuram that the vigilance has already registered a crime on the petitioner's complaint and that investigation is in progress. The report also shows that there is substance in the allegation made by the petitioner, and that effective and fruitful investigation will be made in the crime. Now, I think that the writ petitioner is satisfied. Accordingly, this Writ Petition can be closed with direction to the VACB to make a proper and effective investigation and submit report without any delay. In the result, this Writ Petition is closed, however with direction to the VACB that effective investigation shall be conducted in the crime and final report shall be submitted without any delay.
