JUDGMENT
Petitioner has purchased a stage carriage vehicle having Reg.No.KL13/P 693 and he is aggrieved with the non-issuance of a clearance certificate, which under Section 8A of the Kerala Motor Transport Workers' Welfare Fund Act alone would enable payment of road tax. Learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the vehicle has not been registered till date with the first respondent, since, till the purchase by the petitioner, the vehicle was covered under the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. Petitioner is, hence, directed to produce document before the 1st respondent to that end and also obtain registration of the vehicle from the first respondent. If an application is filed within a period of one week, the first respondent shall expeditiously consider the same within a period of two weeks therefrom. Writ petition is disposed off.
K. Vinod Chandran, Judge.
