JUDGMENT

The petitioners have approached this Court with the following prayers :

(i) Issue a writ of mandamus or order directing the respondent to issue pass to the petitioners vehicles KL30/C 7385 and KL30/C4522 respectively to part at Chengannur Railway station, by disposing the Exhibit P3 and P4 respectively.

(ii) Pass such others deemed fit in the circumstances of the case.

2. When the matter came up for consideration before this Court on 20.12.2014, the following order was passed. "Interim order earlier passed by this Court on 20.12.2012 shall remain in force for a further period of one month."

The said order was subsequently extended by one month on 07.01.2015.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance of the petitioner has already been projected by way of Exts. P3 and P4, which are pending consideration before the respondent

and that the petitioner will be satisfied, if a direction is given to the respondent to have it considered and finalized within a reasonable time.

4. Heard the learned standing counsel for the respondent as well.

5. Considering the limited extent of relief sought for, this Court does not find it necessary to adjudicate the matter on merits. The writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Exts. P3 and P4, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, at the earliest, at any rate within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The interim order passed by this Court will continue till such time.
