JUDGMENT

The petitioner is aggrieved with the non finalization of Ext.P1 by which a dispute was raised with respect to the employment under the 1st respondent. The petitioner contends that despite meetings having been scheduled, no settlement has been arrived at. In the context of the pendency of proceedings for more than four years, the petitioner prays that the matter may be finalized at an early date.

2. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the 3rd respondent, on instructions, submits that, despite having carried out conciliation proceedings, no settlement has been arrived at as such. It is also submitted that the Labour Commissioner would finalize the proceedings and if no

WP(C).34286/14 settlement is arrived, a failure report would be placed before the Government within two months from today. Needless to say, Government shall expedite the proceedings on the failure report. The writ petition is disposed of. Parties are left to suffer their respective costs.
