JUDGMENT
The petitioner is an Engineering student, who is undergoing the final year B.Tech. Course at St. Joseph's College of Engineering & Technology, Pala, which is affiliated to the 1st respondent University. The petitioner appeared for IV Semester examination held in April, 2015 with Register No.721505. According to the petitioner, even though the petitioner did well in the examination, he failed in the examination for one paper, namely, Electronic Circuit II for one mark. Consequently, the petitioner filed Ext.P2 application for revaluation; but the same has not been considered so far. According to the petitioner, being a final year student, he may be put to irreparable injury and
-: 2 :- hardship. If the result is delayed, he may not be able to prepare and undergo the supplementary examination for the said subject, which will result in losing his one academic year for completing his course. Hence the petitioner filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the University to conduct revaluation within a specified time.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the 1st respondent University.

The learned standing counsel, on instructions, submits that as per the University Regulations, the University is liable to conduct revaluation and publish the result within 60 days from the last date of filing the application for revaluation. Hence the University is liable to publish the result of the revaluation on or before 1/1/2016. It is also submitted that revaluation is being done by a centralised valuation process and it is not possible to value the petitioner's paper alone.
4. Having regard to the submissions made at the
-: 3 :- Bar, I find force in the arguments made by the learned standing counsel for the 1st respondent University. As rightly submitted by the learned standing counsel, no direction can be given to the University to revalue the petitioner's paper alone at the earliest. However, the 1st respondent University is directed to conduct revaluation at the earliest and publish result accordingly, without putting the students into hardship and difficulty.
