The petitioners were members of the team for 'English skit', who participated in the Revenue District Youth Festival held at Mala on 04.12.2014. The petitioner's team came to be sidelined, when the result was published, as a result of which they are not in a position to participate in the State Level Competition. Eventhough they filed an appeal, the same came to be rejected , which made the petitioners to approach this Court. The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the team which won the first prize in the competition performed the event without any regard to the guidelines issued in respect of English Skit and that they have used Malayalam sentence in the skit.

2. The learned Government Pleader, on instruction submits that there is no pith or substance in the contentions raised. There is a difference of '31' marks between the marks obtained by the petitioners' team (i.e. 216) and the first price winner's team (i.e. 247 ). It is also submitted that the Appeal Committee had also viewed the video clipping of the event.

3. After going through the pleadings and proceedings, and

W.P.(C)No.34723 OF 2014 also the contents of Ext.P6 order of the appeal Committee , this Court finds that the petitioners have not established any tenable ground to call for interference. Accordingly, interference is declined and the writ petition is dismissed.
