JUDGMENT

The petitioners who are working as Mechanic Grade II have been transferred from Cherthala unit to Chengannur unit of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation. The petitioners have submitted Exts. P4 to P6 representations with the second respondent seeking to annul the order of transfer.

It is the case of the petitioners that their presence at home is absolutely essential and that a transfer to a far off place would cause hardship. The petitioners also add that there are seniors as well as juniors to them in service who manage to cling on to the same depot for several years. 3.

I direct the second respondent to consider Exts. P5 and P6 representations with notice to the petitioners within a period of one month.

The writ petition is disposed of.
