JUDGMENT

Ashok Bhushan, Ag.CJ.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner a well as the learned Government Pleader. No notice is being issued to the party respondents in view of the order which is being passed.

2. The petitioner by this Writ Petition prays for a mandamus commanding respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to give adequate police protection to the life and properties of the petitioner. Petitioner's claim is that the petitioner has constructed a small Kuriayala in his property, which is being used as a place of worship. It is submitted that interference is caused by private respondents who

W.P. (C ) No. 35532 of 2014 had attempted to do some renovation in the Kuriyala. The petitioner has preferred a complaint, Ext. P2 before the 2nd respondent on 22-12-2014.

3. From the materials brought on record it does appear that the dispute is of civil nature and the remedy of the petitioner is to institute a suit in a competent Civil Court or to take such steps as permissible under law. Police authorities are only to ensure that law and order is maintained.

With this observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Sd/-ASHOK BHUSHAN , Ag. CHIEF JUSTICE Sd/-A.M.SHAFFIQUE, JUDGE ani/
