The petition is presently undergoing her final year B.Tech Course in the 3rd respondent's college. The 7th semester examination of the course is scheduled to be held on 27.11.2015. But, the petitioner was informed by the 3rd respondent that since, the petitioner has got only 69.89% of attendance, the petitioner has to submit an application for condonation of shortage of attendance. The petitioner has submitted Ext.P2 application, for condonation of shortage of attendance along with Ext.P1 Medical Certificate, to the 1st respondent, through the 3rd respondent. The above application was forwarded by the 3rd respondent to the 1st respondent vide Ext.P3 letter. But, the respondents have not so far passed

W.P.(C) No. 35760 of 2015 -: 2 :- orders on Exts.P2 and P3 and the Hall Ticket for appearing in the ensuing examinations has not been issued to the petitioner till now. This is the grievance projected in this Writ Petition.

2.

Hence, the petitioner prayed for issuing a writ of mandamus or direction, directing the respondents to condone the attendance shortage of the petitioner and to issue Hall Ticket to the petitioner, so as to enable her to appear for the B.Tech 7th semester examination. 3.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.

4.

It stands admitted that the respondent has not taken a decision on Ext.P2 application, seeking the condonation of the attendance shortage. Considering the gravity of the grievance and hardship caused to the petitioner due to the delay, in disposing Ext.P2, I am of

W.P.(C) No. 35760 of 2015 -: 3 :- the view that the 2nd respondent has to take a decision on Ext.P2 application, at the earliest.

In the above view, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on Ext.P2, as expeditiously, as possible, at any rate, within a period of two weeks form the date of receipt of the copy of this judgment. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. H/o.
